Congrats on jumping on the monthly meal planning bandwagon!
I go back and forth between monthly and weekly menu plans. What I usually do is plan out a month's worth on my computer and plug those meals in to my weekly meal plan before the start of each week. As we all know...things come up that throw our schedules off and some meals get bumped to another night or not made at all! If I didn't plan, we would all eat sandwiches or cereal on a regular basis. :) Here's my latest menu plan on my blog:

Aw! I hope she recovers quickly! My oldest had his out when he was 10 after years of "talking" about it with his doctor. He breathes SO much better now!

How exciting about the RV trip! I'd love to full-time RV with the kids for a while. It would be SO cool to see different states! We're already looking at the newest Maine camp guide and making plans for warmer months....closer to home!

Thank you for letting me know about the blog. I will be doing a follow-up to share. I grew up in an environment where I wasn't "allowed" to talk to boys. The problem was that when it came to be anywhere near one, I became paralyzed and then allowed myself to be used.

Thankfully God saw my weakness and sent my husband. In hindsight, we probably wouldn't have married one another had we not experienced the extremes, but still, I wouldn't trade not having the memories of intimate relationships with another man.

I want my children to save their bodies for their spouses...but they need to know how to share their minds. I have found in the extreme dating societies, you find my hidden "abuse". Girls (especially) who are raised with the idea that they are intelligent enough and have a strong relationship with Christ enough to choose their own spouse do not tend to choose abusive spouses.

You ask some good questions and I am glad to see you aren't blindly accepting this like a lot of parents/singles did when this book first came out.

You might find my blog of interest where I critique Josh Harris's book:

www.ikdg.wordpress.com
"I Kissed Dating Goodbye: Wisdom or Foolishness?"

I believe his book has both. Unfortunately Josh Harris isn't that transparent about sharing the problems his approach has caused though he is quick to point out what he sees as the defects of dating.

Hope this helps.
