Ben Woodward at Redeem the Music
I am always looking for new worship music to listen to while working. I really enjoy finding independent artists. Let me introduce you to Ben Woodward. Ben’s music I found to be likeable enough that I found a couple of songs that I will learn to sing during my personal worship time.
Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Today he travels all over the world leading and teaching on worship and God’s call to this generation. His authentic worship style mixed with a modern rock edge impacts the heart.
This digital album contains 6 tracks of worship songs.
- Running into Your Name: A good mixture of contemporary beats with a touch of Irish lullaby. Ben’s voice is soothing. The guitar is calm. I really like the words to this song. Great for worship, easy to learn.
- I Love You So: Beautiful melody played on the piano. This is another great worship song, one that we will be learning to sing! A simple love song to Jesus.
- True Worship: Put your hands together for this one. Nice little tune, had me clapping & tapping my feet. The song has clapping in the background, but it doesn’t overwhelm.
- Great is Your Mercy: This song has a really slow rhythm. I found the words a little different; a good song to listen to…not sure that it would be easy for worship.
- Selah: Rocky edge guitar solo. It’s ok…just not my style.
- How Beautiful: This is the rockiest song on the album. And it’s a little mix of worship & modern rock. I really didn’t like this as much as the first 4 songs on the album.
